Herc Magnus. Edmonton, Alberta.

I build AI & SEO software, teach thousands to rank with it, and never put the guitar down.

I'm Herc Magnus. I run Xagio, an AI-powered SEO platform, and I've shipped twelve apps around it. I teach thousands of people how to rank websites with AI and SEO and turn those rankings into income. Before any of that I spent ten years fronting a rock band. This site is everything I do, in one place.

The short version

Before any of this I spent ten years in Hollywood Assassyn, an original Edmonton rock band. Different stage, same job: figure out what works and do it louder than everyone else.

When the band wound down I went into digital marketing, and in 2014 I built my first SEO tool because I was tired of juggling spreadsheets to plan client sites. That tool became the core of Xagio, the SEO platform my company builds today, with a team that has been with me for over eleven years.

Somewhere along the way the building habit got out of hand. I've now shipped eleven more apps on top of Xagio: call tracking, keyword analysis, PBN management, landing page testing, link tracking, image generation, marketing analytics, client communication, a marketplace for people who build apps like I do, and one that has nothing to do with marketing at all. I don't write every line myself, but every one of them is my architecture, my problem, my fix.

I also teach. Twice a month I run live webinars showing exactly how I use AI and SEO to rank websites and turn the rankings into income. The biggest one had 700 people watching live.

For the record: at 25 I rode a bicycle from Edmonton to Tampa Bay. I've learned the hard way that trust is earned, not assumed, and I hold people to their word because I hold myself to mine. And I'm a husband and a dad first, which is why everything above happens between school runs.

Act I: The Work

Things I've built

None of these started as a business plan. Every one started as a wall I hit in my own work, and I didn't like any of the existing answers. So I built mine.

01

Xagio

The entire SEO workflow in one platform. It starts with your competitors' keywords, because Google already validated those, then builds and optimizes the site around what's proven to rank.

xagio.com
02

RingRobin

Call tracking for lead gen sites. You can't rent an asset if you can't prove the phone rings. RingRobin tracks every call, form, and text so the value is on paper, not in your pitch.

03

KillerEMD

Before you build anything, find out if you can win. KillerEMD scores the actual top 10 for your keyword and tells you exactly how beatable they are.

04

KillerPBN

If you're going to build links, run them like an operator. KillerPBN keeps your private network organized instead of scattered across notes and hope.

05

TrustMadeMedia

Local business sites convert with real trust signals, not stock photos of smiling models. TMM generates realistic, industry-specific images that make a site look like the business it represents.

trustmademedia.com
06

VibeStrapped

The hub where vibe coders list, prove, and sell their apps. Verified ownership, real traffic data, actual buyers. I built a lot of apps; this is where they get seen.

07

TalkWith Team

Client communication for agencies without the Slack chaos. Dedicated spaces per client, clean messaging, proper permissions. Built for how agencies actually work.

08

Sitepane

A/B test landing pages on traffic you've already won. Build a variant in a minute, route by URL, and let the call data pick the winner instead of your gut.

sitepane.com
09

LinkSheets

Don't build links and hope. LinkSheets overlays your link dates onto your rank tracking so you can see which links actually moved the needle.

linksheets.net
10

PathRev

Marketing analytics that traces every sale back to the campaign that caused it. If you can't see who clicked, you're spending blind.

11

Haaven

The one with no marketing angle at all. A private AI space that helps couples find the words during conflict. Built it because I wanted it to exist.

haaven.app

I use all of these in my own work, daily. That's the whole quality bar: if it doesn't survive my own projects, it doesn't ship.

What I teach

I teach people how to rank websites with AI and SEO, and how to turn those rankings into income. Renting ranked sites to local businesses is the best-known play, and I've run it for over a decade, but the method underneath is bigger than any one model: find what Google already rewards, build for it, and let AI do the heavy lifting.

Twice a month I run webinars where you watch me do the actual work: pick the niche, check the competition, build the site, rank it, and get it earning. No theory slides. The biggest live session so far had 700 people on it.

The teaching happens inside my free Skool community, AI SEO | Rank & Rent Lead Gen. Over 2,500 members, free to join, no credit card, no course pitch at the door. Join, watch a build, ask me questions, and decide for yourself if this guy knows what he's doing.

On stage

I speak at SEO Spring Training and the SEOST Digital Marketing Conference, and I demo instead of theorize. In 2025 that meant launching Agent X, our autonomous SEO feature, live on stage in Phoenix with a hard deadline and no safety net. It shipped, it worked, and the room watched it happen in real time.

If you run an event and want a speaker who shows the actual work, get in touch.

Tools I made you can use

Act II: Off the Clock

Herc on stage with Hollywood Assassyn

Hollywood Assassyn / live

Music

The guitar in the headline isn't a prop. Before digital marketing I spent a decade in Hollywood Assassyn, an original Edmonton rock band. I still play multiple instruments and I still write.

The band taught me everything I use now: show up, do the reps, perform when it counts, and never bore the audience. The only difference is the room got bigger and nobody throws beer.

This is the part of my life that doesn't have a conversion goal. It's here because it's me.
